LGBTQ+ Photography in Cambodia & Angkor Wat
Enjoy your photoshoot with comfort, confidence, and authenticity.
At Siem Reap Photographer, I’ve had the privilege of photographing many LGBTQ+ couples and travelers from all over the world. Because of different cultures in different parts of the world, I’m often asked before a booking:
“Do you mind photographing LGBTQ couples?”
“Is it accepted in Cambodia?”
Cambodia is one of the most accepting countries in Southeast Asia for LGBTQ+ travelers. Same-sex couples can comfortably explore, dine, and travel together - and no one looks twice when two people hold hands or pose for photos.
Much of this comes from the country’s Buddhist culture, which values kindness, respect, and non-judgment. People here tend to live and let live - they’re warm, curious, and happy to see visitors enjoying their time, whoever they are, so you can also feel comfortable doing a photo shoot at the temples.
Your photographer welcomes anyone on a photoshoot, as long as you know how to have fun!
LGBTQ Couples are more than welcome in Cambodia, and on a photoshoot.
Local culture is one of the most accepting in the world
There is no reason why LGBTQ couples can not enjoy a photoshoot at the temples
